London Fashion Weekend!

On the 21st September me and my girls went to Vodafone's London Fashion Weekend at Somerset House. We had a fabalooo day, I didn't buy anything because everything was very expensive haha. But all lovely, lovely clothes.

We went to the show at 3:00 and qued 40 minutes prior to the opening of the doors in order to get good seats haha! It worked we were on the second row!

After the show we went to the Lounge area where fashion journalist Hilary Alexander was doing a talk and question/answer session on her job and her experiences. Which I found amazing!

What I wore:

Patterned leggings coloured blue and black which are from Primark, a white crop top from Topshop, a pink patterned blazer from Warehouse in Debenhams, I wore my white converse on my feet and carried all my stuff round in a black bag with a snake skin pattern each side which is from Clarks.

Me and my friends before going into the show!

Me outside whilst eating lunch, I had waffles and homemade blueberry jam with a cup of tea.
It was delicous!

Do i want to go to Uni????

Very stressed at the moment as were currently in the process of applying for UCAS and sorting out our options for uni.

I DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO!

I'm not even sure what i want to study, let alone where i'd like to go to study it.

So what do I do?

Do I not go?

Do I apply?

Ahhhh to many things to think about.

I'm torn between Journalism/English/Media courses and Health and Social Care courses, so social work, nursing etc.

I am so confused.

I think I will end up taking a year out while I figure it out, but what do I do in the meantime?

My school have literally offered us no help with these decisions.

If anybody has any advice they wish to give me, I would be so grateful!!

AS Results!!

Today i got my AS results back.

My results:
English - C
R.E - A
Health & Social - A

I am very very happy, i didn't think I'd do that well. ( I assumed B's and C's)
So i am definitely into my next year at sixth form to continue my A-Levels, which i am completely chuffed about. All of my friends did well, but some of them not as well as they hoped and a couple are contemplating leaving sixth form :(!

My boyfriend also passed all 3 of his AS levels, he also got the green letter meaning he's definitely into next year. Thank-God! Haha.

I only did 3 AS subjects so i will just keep all 3 on next year, and hopefully continue with the good work.

Hope you all did well, and got the grades you needed and wanted.
As well, grades aren't everything. A letter on a piece of paper should not dictate your future.

PASSED MY DRIVING TEST!!!!

Wooooooooooo!!!

Last week (Wednesday 24th July) I passed the UK driving test!
I am so relieved and happy, after working very hard to pass the test, it took me 4 months to do it!

I had an examiner named John ( i think ) he was lovely and kind, he made me feel comfortable and calmed me down as I was quite nervous.

During the test my manoeuvre was 'reverse round a corner' i was quite wide on the manoeuvre but because i still checked all around me my observation saved me and therefore I didn't get any minors for that. Thank Goodness! Then i also had emergency stop on my test. During this I never looked around my right shoulder (blind spot) when driving of, therefore i assumed I had failed my driving test. I was grumpy for the rest of the test after that.

All in all, i only got 4 minors! Which i was very proud of.

I have a little Clio which i drive around, its an 02 reg so it is quite an old car. Oh well! I love it! I feel free and i can go wherever, whenever.

My tips if you are learning to drive or have your test soon!
  1. Have as many lessons as you can afford. I had double lessons weekly, and sometimes twice a week. Therefore i was sometimes having 4 lessons a week. This was obviously quite expensive, but it meant i passed my test quite quickly, and i felt a lot more comfortable on the roads once I'd passed as i had already had quite a lot of experience, more so than some of my friends who just have one lesson a week.
  2. If you can, drive in a car other than your instructors (either your own car, or your parents if they'll insure you on it) this also brings up your confidence and you will notice the difference.
  3. Follow driving instructors on twitter/facebook or download an app with tips. I personally followed 'Ukadi' on twitter, who gave tips every day on safe driving and passing the UK test.
  4. Ask your instructor if you are unsure, I built a great relationship with my instructor and I felt very comfortable around her, I wasn't nervous or embarrassed to ask her a question or ask her to demonstrate what she meant (like a manoeuvre).

Where have i been?!?!

Holaa blogger!

I do realise I have been neglecting my blog, and I have missed many days of the '31 day blog challenge'! Sorry!!

I have been uber busy considering it is the summer here in England, and the summer holidays, therefore I am off school.

I am here, there and everywhere. Working a lot more over the summer too, therefore I havent had time to sit down and write on here.

I am very sorry, and I will be back on track. I may, however, not carry on with the 31 day blog challenge, cos at the moment there is a lot more interesting things I would like to share with you all on the world wide web!

But I may resume the challenge it if my life becomes boring once again! Haha!

Adios amigos!

Day #11 - '15 of your favourite things'

  1. My family/friends/boyfriend. All the closest people to me. Obviously.
  2. My car - which hopefully i will be able to drive soon (test is in two weeks AHHH SCARY)
  3. Cups of tea. A must.
  4. My Pandora ring, which was a 16th birthday present of my parents.
  5. My Pandora bracelet and all the charms, each charm bought of someone close to me all with different meanings and explanations!
  6. My room. All my photos on the walls, and pretty colours and decorations. I love my room and how i've made it my own.
  7. The sun, summer. Everyone is 10x happier when its sunny, there are so many more things to do. Going on a walk is normally boring, but with the sun shining, and the warm air its a lovely thing to do.
  8. Holidays and no school, i love the feeling of spontaneous living. Not having to think about what needs to be done all the time.
  9. Pizza. I use to hate pizza as a child, but now i absolutely love pizza. I don't know why. It's so easy to make, its so yummy, theres so many different types and toppings. Its quick to make, quick to eat.
  10. My boyfriend. He is one of my ultimate favourite things obviously. He makes everything 10x better.
  11. Money. I work 3 or 4 times a week to get money, i would hate the idea of not having any money on me or with me. I also hate asking for money, or parents giving me money. I would much rather earn it myself.
  12. Movie days, pajama days. Chill days, no make up, no worries, just chilling, with chocolate and ice-cream and your favourite films.
  13. God + Jesus. I love the feeling of knowing there is something higher than us, somehting better than us, someone looking over us and looking out for us. I think by believing in God and having christian beliefs and thoughts it makes my life easier and better. The internet and social networking. Even though its a sad thing to say, i love knowing what my friends are doing, and keeping in touch with people. Following celebrities on twitter etc.
  14. Swimming and swimming in the sea. Its so relaxing!
